Analysis of project organization specifics in small-scale LNG production

Gas industry plays an important role in the global energy sector, and coming decades amountsof natural gas production will only increase. One of fastest growing trends is liquefiednatural (LNG), which associated with necessity to organize flexible systems supply regions,remote from extraction sites. Industrial structure LNG includes projects, belonging several different groups depending their scale, particular, small-scale (SSLNG), cumulative capacityof approximately 10 % industry-wide one. Economic aspects implementing such projects remainunderexplored, does not allow draw objective conclusions regarding prospects implementationin particular regions.This paper contains a review publications, devoted SSLNG project studies, aimed at identifying specifics oftheir organization compared greater scale. The results demonstrate that majority internationalcompanies classify as SSLNG, if annual capacity below 0.5 million tonnes per annum.Specific capital costs, well implementation timelines are times lower than those capacity, reduces risks minimizes barriers market entry. Furthermore,SSLNG most decentralized subsector industry, aiming cover due numberof specific capacity. These features define significant SSLNGdevelopment Russia, both context remote regions diversification export deliveries.
